Cirque du Soleil – Alegría

Alegría is a mood, a state of mind. The themes of the show, whose name means “jubilation” in Spanish, are many. Power and the handing down of power over time, the evolution from ancient monarchies to modern democracies, old age, youth—it is against this backdrop that the characters of Alegría play out their lives. Kings’ fools, minstrels, beggars, old aristocrats and children make up its universe, along with the clowns, who alone are able to resist the passing of time and the social transformations that accompany it.

Maggie and Mitch Welin at Ranch Roam

ComRes’s Chris White and Mitch Welin attended the Boys and Girls Clubs’ 15th Annual Ranch Roam on  Saturday, April 2nd.  The event was absolutely delightful with lots of entertainment for guests to enjoy including a gunfighting show, bull riding, live performances, food, and dancing.  With almost a thousand people in attendance dressed in their very best cowboy gear, Ranch Roam was a definite success.  Polly Wilkie, President of the Prestige Club, stated, “Ranch Roam once again surpassed 2010 with everyone dressing in country western wear.  It is one of the largest fundraisers for the Boys and Girls Club.  The event was a night of fantasy and fun for all with Tanya Tucker being the special star for the evening”.  Tanya Tucker, who actually performed at the very first Ranch Roam event, came back and sang her way into people’s hearts once again with a great performance.  Chris White also commented stating, “Ranch Roam is the most unique event that I have ever attended.  The venue was tremendous, the people were kind, and the weather was beautiful.”

ComRes Inc.’s Chris White attended the Prestige Club’s 7th Annual Rick Case Golf Classic on March 25th at the Inverrary Country Club.  The golf sporting event, which lasted from 7am-2pm, included breakfast and Bloody Marys, refreshments at the turn, a luncheon, silent auction, and awards ceremony.  The golf outing consisted of friendly competition between teams as they played  for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Chris White stated, “It was a beautiful day for golf and a great way for the local business community to support the Prestige Club.”

ComRes Inc. alongside Dex Imaging cosponsored the HFTP (Hospitality, Financial, and Technology Professionals) South Florida Chapter’s Annual Wine Tasting/Dinner Social on Wednesday,  March 23rd, at the renowned Joe’s Stone Crab on Miami Beach.  The event, which was geared towards effective networking amongst business professionals,  was the chapter’s most anticipated event of the year with the guestlist closed way in advance with pre-registered attendees.  The dinner social was a rather special gathering, especially since it alternately served as an official induction of COO of ComRes Inc., Chris White, onto HFTP’s South Florida Board of Directors.  Chris White describes his induction as a “warm and gracious welcome”. Congratulations Chris!
